The staff were really helpful, very accommodating, having helped with our reservation, since we were a big group. Only good feedback post-dinner. ”
“ I visited this restaurant in Istanbul and ordered lamb chops, which were quite good, though the salad was drenched in balsamic dressing that overpowered everything else. The food overall was decent, but the service was extremely disappointing. I came alone, and the staff seemed uninterested from the start. With no outdoor tables free, I sat inside and asked to be moved if one opened up. Several became available within ten minutes, but no one bothered. When I asked about the vegetables in my dish, I got a curt, dismissive reply. The bill was even more frustrating—they charged for water I never ordered (just poured without asking) and added an unmentioned service fee despite the poor service. Decent food, but overpriced and inattentive service. I would not recommend this place. ”

Meze plate and the freshly baked bread was fantastic as well as the çıtır mantı. The beans in the clay pot that I ordered was a bit overcooked though. This was the only negative side of the entire experience. The interiors were traditionally refurnished. It takes you back in time to old days. Reasonable pricing for this quality and authenticity. The food here very very delicious! Service very good, always very kind and friendly and many times they gift us fruit plate! I visited this restaurant maybe 15-17 times and it always perfect experience. I prefer cold meze levrek (sea bass) with mustard spice, amazing paçanga, and grilled sea bass or sea bass in white spice with potato (from hot starters, but the portion is huge!), also Istanbul salad from sweet tomatoes Mustard visit restaurant in Istanbul! ”

Prices are a bit high but reasonable for an evening tavern event in Istanbul. I was told that there was a different menu at noon. My favorite dishes were: fish meatballs and grilled liver. Finally, it was a nice detail that the bread was hot and in two types (white and wholemeal). ”
